Alcohol is allowed for your event. An ABC license is not required provided you meet the following requirements: The event is a private event not open to the public. The event is held at a private location (i.e., not a restaurant or club). The guests do not pay an admission charge, cover charge or for drinks. You are not buying your alcohol from a wholesaler. All alcoholic beverages must be served by a licensed bartender. Self-serve bars are not permitted.
Yes. Feel free to decorate the venue for your special day. Decorations may not be hung with tape, nails, or screws. All decorations must be removed without leaving damage as soon as the event ends. Any decorating that is done must be approved by The Pavilion at Mimosa Lake prior to the event. The use of birdseed, sparklers, and blowing bubbles is permitted only outside for the reception farewells. Rice, flower petals, confetti, glitter, and pyrotechnics are not permitted inside or outside the facility.
If it rains the day of your wedding and you cannot get married in front of the lake, we can have the stage inside the pavilion set-up for your wedding.
Smoking including vaping is not allowed in any building. Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking area if the bride wants to allow it.
Yes. We do require that your vendors be licensed and insured. A certificate of insurance must be provided at least 30 days prior to the event date.
We have seating for 200 people which includes the wedding party. We have 30 round tables, 6 rectangular tables, a round sweetheart table, an antique oak cake/dessert table, 160 white folding chairs, 10 cocktail stations under the veranda, 28 picnic tables under the veranda. The pavilion can host up to 300 guests for a cocktail style reception.
We do not provide table linens, however we can rent them for you for an additional charge.
All cancellations must be done in writing. All payments are non-refundable. Cancellation insurance can be purchased through multiple providers. We do not require cancellation insurance, but we recommend it if you are concerned about the possibility of having to cancel for any reason.
We do require event insurance. You must have a $1,000,000 special event liability policy naming The Pavilion at Mimosa Lake as an additional insured for your event. Proof of insurance must be given to The Pavilion at Mimosa Lake at least 30 days prior to your event. We partner with Wedsure.com. They offer policies starting at $125.00.
A reservation requires a $500 payment along with a signed contract to hold your date.
Your package price is divided into easy affordable interest free monthly payments. The first payment is due 30 days from the date of the signed contract and the final payment is due 60 days or 2 months before your event date. For example, if you book the Dogwood Package for $6200. If you book your wedding on Apr. 1, 2023, and you are getting married on June 9, 2024, you will make 12 payments of $458.34. Your first payment would be May 1, 2024, and your final payment would be April 1, 2024. Your $500 save the date fee would be used as your deposit. Your deposit will be returned two weeks after your event date provided no damages occur during your event.
